DoseDirect provides safe, convenient access to clinically appropriate weight-loss medication for adults across the UK.
Our pharmacist independent prescribers assess every patient individually and can prescribe licensed treatments including Mounjaro, Wegovy and oral weight-loss treatments when clinically appropriate.
Whether you are starting weight-loss treatment, transferring from another provider or looking for longer-term maintenance support, we provide a clear clinical pathway with transparent pricing and no hidden membership charge added to the cost of your medication.
Mounjaro contains tirzepatide and is licensed for weight management in eligible adults alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity.
Injectable Wegovy contains semaglutide and is administered once weekly. It is licensed for weight management in eligible adults alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity.
Foundayo contains orforglipron, an oral GLP-1 receptor agonist licensed for weight management in eligible adults. It is taken as a daily tablet and may provide an alternative for patients who do not wish to use injections.
If you are pleased with your DoseDirect experience, you can refer an eligible new patient to our weight-loss service.
Your friend can receive £10 off their first eligible product priced above £99.99. Once their qualifying order has been clinically approved, paid for and completed, you can receive a £10 credit towards a future eligible order.
Referral rewards do not guarantee that treatment will be prescribed. Every patient must complete their own clinical assessment and be approved independently by a DoseDirect prescriber.
Referral limits, product thresholds and exclusions apply.
Tell us about your health, current medication, weight-loss history and treatment goals through our secure clinical questionnaire.
If you are transferring from another provider, we will also ask for evidence of your existing treatment and previous prescribing history.
Safe online prescribing requires us to confirm that the information supplied is accurate.
New patients will normally complete BMI verification through either:
Photographs, screenshots from the NHS App and unverified written measurements are not normally sufficient evidence of current BMI.
A pharmacist independent prescriber will review your questionnaire and supporting evidence.
Many straightforward requests can be assessed without a routine appointment. We will arrange a consultation if further information is required, you have reported side effects, you are requesting a clinically significant change or the prescriber needs to discuss your treatment before making a decision.
If treatment is clinically appropriate, your prescription will be issued and your medication prepared for secure, discreet delivery.
You will receive relevant instructions about how to use your medicine, common side effects, important safety information and when to contact us for support.
Before each further prescription, you will complete a short clinical follow-up covering:
Patients progressing safely on an established dose will not automatically require a video appointment every month. A pharmacist will review the information submitted and arrange contact whenever further clinical discussion is needed.
If you have not previously used prescription weight-loss medication, we will assess whether treatment is suitable based on your BMI, medical history, current medicines and any weight-related health conditions.
If approved, treatment normally begins at the licensed starting dose. Dose increases are gradual and are only considered after the appropriate treatment interval.
Increasing the dose is not a race. The best dose is one that produces a meaningful benefit while remaining safe and tolerable. Some patients may appropriately remain on a lower dose for longer.
Already receiving weight-loss medication elsewhere? DoseDirect may be able to continue your treatment without unnecessarily restarting the entire process.
We will normally ask you to provide:
Acceptable treatment evidence could include a dispensing label, prescription record, provider treatment letter or other documentation that clearly identifies you, the medicine, dose and relevant date.
Every transfer is reviewed individually. We cannot guarantee continuation at a particular medicine or dose until the evidence and clinical information have been assessed.
Different weight-loss treatments contain different active ingredients and their dose strengths are not directly equivalent.
If you are considering changing treatment because of side effects, availability, cost, preference or treatment response, a DoseDirect prescriber will review:
Your starting dose on the new medicine will be determined individually. We do not automatically convert patients from one milligram strength to another or guarantee a particular starting dose.
Reaching Your Goal Does Not Mean Support Suddenly Ends
Obesity is a long-term, relapsing health condition. Reaching a healthier weight is an important achievement, but maintaining that progress can require continued clinical support.
DoseDirect does not apply an arbitrary rule requiring every patient to stop treatment immediately after reaching a particular weight or healthy BMI.
Where continued treatment remains clinically appropriate, we can work with you to develop an individual maintenance plan. This may include:
Medication should only be used at the dose and frequency prescribed for you. Any maintenance adjustment will be considered individually following clinical review.
The aim during maintenance is usually weight stability, adequate nutrition, preservation of muscle mass and minimising side effects – not continued unrestricted weight loss.
Your prescriber will consider your treatment response, BMI history, risk of weight regain, nutritional intake, side effects and overall health. Continued prescribing is always subject to regular clinical review and may not be appropriate for everybody.
Patients who have responded successfully to treatment may no longer meet the BMI threshold that originally supported treatment initiation. This does not automatically mean treatment must stop immediately.
We will consider your verified starting BMI, treatment history, current health and maintenance needs. This is different from starting treatment for the first time at a lower BMI, which may not be clinically appropriate.
Please tell us if you have had a break in treatment.
The appropriate next dose depends on the medicine, previous dose, length of the interruption, treatment tolerance and individual risk factors. After a longer gap, it may be unsafe to restart at the previous strength because tolerance to side effects can reduce.
A DoseDirect prescriber will determine whether you can continue at the same dose or need to restart at a lower strength.
Do not attempt to compensate for missed treatment by taking additional medication.
Weight-loss medicines can cause side effects and are not suitable for everybody.
Common effects can include nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, constipation, abdominal discomfort and reduced appetite. Your assessment will also screen for medical conditions, medicines and circumstances that could make treatment unsuitable or require further review.
Contact DoseDirect if:
Seek urgent medical attention for severe or persistent abdominal pain, symptoms of a serious allergic reaction, severe dehydration or another medical emergency.
Weight-loss injections and tablets are prescription-only medicines. They can be supplied online by a registered pharmacy after an appropriately qualified prescriber has assessed your eligibility and determined that treatment is clinically suitable.
Yes. Subject to availability and clinical suitability, DoseDirect can offer injectable and oral weight-loss treatments. The best option depends on your health, treatment history, preferences and the instructions applicable to each medicine.
No. Straightforward follow-up requests can usually be reviewed from your completed clinical follow-up. We will arrange an appointment if you request a significant treatment change, report important side effects or your prescriber needs additional information.
Yes. We verify weight and BMI because accurate information is essential to safe and appropriate prescribing. Verification can be completed through a live video appointment or an acceptable recorded video submission.
Yes, subject to clinical review. You will need to provide evidence of your current treatment, the date and dose most recently supplied, your original eligibility and your current verified BMI.
Not necessarily. If your treatment has been continuous and your evidence is satisfactory, we may be able to continue an appropriate established dose. A gap in treatment, inadequate evidence or safety concerns may mean restarting at a lower dose.
Potentially. Continued treatment is assessed individually. Reaching your goal weight or a healthy BMI does not automatically lead to abrupt withdrawal, but ongoing prescribing must remain safe, beneficial and clinically appropriate.
No. Dose increases are only considered when appropriate. If a lower dose remains effective and well tolerated, your prescriber may agree that you should remain on it for longer.
An eligible new patient can receive £10 off their first qualifying product priced above £99.99. Once that order has been clinically approved, paid for and completed, the existing patient who referred them can receive a £10 credit towards a future eligible order.
Eligibility is determined using the product’s standard advertised price before applying the referral discount.
The offer does not influence clinical decisions or guarantee a prescription. A maximum of ten successful referral rewards can be earned by each referrer in a calendar year. Full terms and conditions apply.
Clinical review is included as part of our prescribing service. If your request requires an appointment, we will explain the next step before treatment proceeds. Medication prices and any additional charges will be displayed clearly before payment.
Yes. Medication is supplied using secure and appropriately packaged delivery. Temperature-sensitive medicines are handled using a suitable delivery process.
No. Completing an assessment, applying a discount or making a payment does not guarantee a prescription. Treatment will only be supplied following approval by an appropriate prescriber.
